Critical Materials Used in Medical
| Material | Technology | Properties | Applications |
|---|---|---|---|
| Biocompatible Dental Resin | SLA/DLP Printing | Certified biocompatible resin safe for prolonged skin and mucosal contact, ideal for medical surgical guides. | Surgical guides, splints. |
| Nylon PA12 (Engineering) | SLS Printing | High-strength Polyamide 12 with a low friction coefficient and superior wear resistance for mechanical tools. | Prosthetic sockets, orthotics. |
| Clear Transparent Resin | SLA/DLP Printing | Polishable resin that achieves glass-like transparency, perfect for lenses and transparent housing prototypes. | Microfluidic chips, vessel models. |
| ABS-Like Technical Resin | SLA/DLP Printing | Highly detailed photopolymer resin that mimics ABS mechanical properties, offering superior impact resistance. | Hearing aid shells. |
| RTV2 Molding Silicone (General Purpose) | Vacuum Casting | Professional molding silicone with high detail reproduction and low shrinkage for precision prototyping. | Organ models, training mannequins. |
Applications of 3D Printing in Healthcare
Surgical Guides & Planning
To eliminate error margins in implant or orthopedic surgeries, we produce autoclavable guides derived from patient CT/MRI data using Biocompatible Dental Resin.
Patient-Specific Prosthetics & Orthotics
Instead of standard molds, lightweight and breathable lattice-structured orthotics are designed based on patient 3D scan data and produced via SLS 3D Printing Service to maximize patient comfort.
Medical Device R&D & Prototyping
The ergonomics and assembly of a newly developed ventilator, blood analyzer, or surgical instrument are verified via Functional Test Prototypes before mass production.
Anatomical Training Models
Realistic organ models with varying colors and hardness (simulating veins, bones, and soft tissue) are produced for medical students or pre-surgery simulation.
Medical Industry FAQ
Are your materials safe for human contact?
Yes. Specifically, our Biocompatible Dental Resin and PA12 Nylon materials have passed ISO 10993 biocompatibility tests. They are safe for mucosal and skin contact.
Can the parts be sterilized?
Our biocompatible resin parts are resistant to sterilization in standard steam autoclaves (121°C / 134°C) without losing their form or mechanical properties.
Do you print from DICOM data?
We do not work directly with DICOM files. However, if you convert the radiology data into STL (3D model) format and send it to us, we can perform the printing process.
Can hearing aid or earbud shells be printed?
Yes. Using SLA technology, we produce smooth, hypoallergenic shells that perfectly match the ear impression.
Do you offer serial production for medical device housings?
For medical device housings in quantities of 50-500, we produce high-impact resistant and painted parts using RIM Molding Service.
