NDA and Privacy Policy

At ProtoDep, we recognize that your designs and data are your most valuable assets. Every file uploaded to our digital manufacturing platform is treated as a Trade Secret. The following protocols outline our commitment to protecting your intellectual property from the design stage to final delivery.

Section 1: Digital Security Infrastructure

All CAD data uploaded to our website and quoting forms is encrypted using 256-bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer) during transit. Your data is stored on our servers using the AES-256 encryption standard (Server-Side Encryption) to ensure maximum protection against unauthorized access.

Customer files are not hosted on the web server. Your files are stored within the ISO 27001 certified Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3 cloud infrastructure, in isolated Private Buckets accessible only by our authorized engineering team.

Access to project files is strictly restricted to our core team responsible for quoting and manufacturing. All access logs are recorded and periodically audited for security compliance.

Section 2: Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) Policy

Standard Protection:
Every customer using the ProtoDep platform is automatically protected under our General Terms and Conditions. We legally guarantee that your files will not be shared with third parties, copied, or utilized without your explicit permission.

Corporate NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement):
For sensitive projects, we are always ready to sign your company’s standard NDA or the ProtoDep Mutual NDA.

Section 3: Manufacturing and Partner Network Security

ProtoDep may collaborate with certified manufacturing partners to ensure production capacity. During this process, data security is maintained through the following protocols:

• Back-to-Back NDA: Confidentiality agreements with strict penalty clauses are signed between ProtoDep and all our manufacturing partners to safeguard our customers’ rights.
• Data Anonymization (Sanitization): Where applicable, customer logos, brand names, and project codes are removed from technical drawings and file names before being sent to production. This ensures the manufacturer focuses solely on technical requirements without knowing the owner of the part.
• Intellectual Property Rights: 100% of all intellectual property rights regarding the manufactured parts, molds, and designs belong exclusively to the customer.

Section 4: Data Retention and Destruction Policy

We do not store your files indefinitely. To minimize risks and avoid unnecessary data accumulation, we apply the following retention periods:

• Quoted Files: Files for projects that do not proceed to an order are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers 90 days after the quote date.
• Production Files: Files for completed orders are stored in an encrypted archive for 1 year (365 days) for re-ordering and quality control purposes. They are destroyed at the end of this period.
• Deletion on Demand: Customers may request the immediate destruction of their files at any time by contacting us at privacy@protodep.com
